As we saw in the previous Devotion these Old Testament scriptures are examples for us to follow and take to heart. Today, as Jesus said, "It is just like the days of Noah," in other words evil and lawlessness is flourishing, and righteousness is almost nonexistent!
It is interesting that only Noah and his family escaped the judgment of God for not one other righteous soul was found. Today in the earth perversion of all kinds as well as violence and lawlessness prevail: robbery, rape, murder and drug addiction have poisoned our cities with illegal aliens and the homeless overtaking the streets.
America has no excuse for this travesty of justice because like Noah who preached the truth of God's word, so the preachers of America have also preached for hundreds of years the gospel of Jesus Christ. When God's word is preached but not received it hardens the heart to the point that it is no longer of any effect! So it is today our once great nation has become a godless and desolate landscape of hopeless people destitute of any spiritual life.
And God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth." Genesis 6:13
