Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if ministry let us use it in our ministering. Romans 12:4-6
Our ministry, birthed from the anointing given by God is the ministry of Jesus and as the scripture states, "As Jesus Christ is in the world, so are we!" In other words, the ministry of Jesus resides within us, and we are to use it to His glory!
In the parable of the talents the master which represents Jesus gives His wealth to His servants and expected them to trade with them and multiply His money while He was on His journey. To one He gave five, to another, two, and to another, one according to their ability. A talent was about seventy-five pounds, so if these talents were gold each one would be worth approximately $2,040,000.00 at the present rate.
The first two servants multiplied their master's money but the one who had one talent was afraid and buried it in the ground! The master applauded the first two servants for their obedience to multiply His wealth but cursed the disobedient servant and gave his talent to another. The moral of this parable is that fear will stop your forward motion in regard to the ministry God has given you!
"For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away." Matthew 25:29
