Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the un-godly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, (wicked) but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1,2

When we stand in the counsel of the un-godly, the lost, we have the opportunity to be influenced by demons. We are already bombarded with TV, advertising, doctors, lawyers, cell phones and such and we certainly don't need to be led by devils!

Samson was a prime example of someone who ran with sinners, always hanging out with those whom he was called to destroy. He even married a Philistine woman against his parents' advice but lost her in the end. Because of his pride and arrogant nature in spite of his great strength he ended up on the lap of a devil and lost his life!

Not so with David, a man after God's own heart who had a sound relationship with God and spent much quality time meditating, worshiping and praising the Lord! Even though he had many downfalls he still kept his spiritual integrity!

He shall be like a tree planted by the river of water, (channels) that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does will prosper. Psalm 1:3
