We as the children of God have been given all power and authority over the devil and demonic forces sent to rob, kill, and destroy! As Jesus was in the world so are we, His agents and ambassadors!
If we would only realize who we are in Christ and the mighty power we possess we could truly move mountains and trample the armies of darkness! Many today think this power and authority was only for the apostles, but it is for every born-again believer. 120 believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and all spoke in tongues that interpreted the gospel to 3000 from other lands.
If you are born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit, then you have the same power in you that raised Jesus from the dead! Don't believe this old-time religious nonsense that anything God gave the apostles passed away, it is still for us today!
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19
