Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil.
Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence. Provers 4:14-17

The path of life has many detours, distractions, and potholes! (No pun intended!) Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate, for broad is the road that leads to destruction, but narrow is the way that leads to eternal life."
The devil is a hunter and trapper, always looking to trip us up and lead us on a path of darkness. He advertises his wares like other sellers of merchandise, and he makes them easy to access pornography, prostitution, drugs, alcohol, as well as any other thing your heart might desire, available at the touch of a button.
King David was on his roof one night and saw his beautiful naked neighbor bathing, so he called for her to come to his bed chamber, where he lay with her, and she became pregnant. David was burned out from battle and Saul's attempt to kill him, and he took the broad road that leads to destruction in which eventually it did.
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19
