So, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:1-4

If we followed Paul's advice and became one with each other and of one accord, we would do well and replicate what the church at Pentecost had —a powerful spiritual entity focused on the mission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus told His first church to wait on the promise of God in Jerusalem, and being of one accord, the Holy Spirit was poured out, and they were all anointed with power and spoke in tongues! There seems to be a vast difference between the disciples of Christ and the disciples of Paul!

Maybe because Jesus spent three years with many of them and they were mature in the Lord, nevertheless, the church of God must be filled with Holy Spirit power to not only survive but thrive.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
