When one is born again his desires change and the things he is asking, seeking, and knocking for are not for earthly pleasure but for things of His kingdom. Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you." God is faithful in answering our requests and blessing us with all of our needs!
As we grow in our faith God teaches us how to pray for our needs and those things we are asking for. We ask and we trust Him, we seek, and we trust Him, we knock, and we trust Him to provide what we are requesting. Jesus said, "If we ask for bread He won't give us a stone." When Jesuswas in the wilderness fasting and when the fast was over, He became hungry and the devil said to Him, "If you are the Son of God turn this stone into bread?" Jesus said to him, "Man shall not live by bread alone."
Doubt will be one of your greatest enemies when praying for your needs and requests and if Satan can try and make Jesus doubt, what do you think he will do to you? He tried to get Jesus to doubt who He was by saying, "If you are the Son of God?"
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Matthew 7:11
