For years, God sent us widows and orphans into our residential ministry. There are not only physical widows and orphans, but there are also spiritual widows, who don't have a husband, Jesus, and the orphans who don't have a heavenly Father.
God is concerned for those, and He is mindful of their need, and this is true religion to take care of widows, orphans, and all those who are alone in this world. This is the ministry of the Church of Jesus Christ to reach out and be the good Samaritans that God has called us to be! To love God with all of our hearts and our neighbor as ourselves!
Jesus told His disciples that He called sheep that He was a stranger, hungry, thirsty, in prison, naked, and sick, and you met His need. He also said that if you did it to the least of these, you did it to Me!
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
