A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves." 2 Kings 4:1

Elisha asked her, "What shall I do for you?" Tell me what you have in the house, and she told him, "I have nothing but a jar of oil." Then he told her to go to her neighbors and borrow as many empty vessels as she could find and then pour the oil she had left into all those vessels and set aside the full ones.

Remember Elijah told a widow to give him the last of her food and God multiplied her gift. So it is when you are almost out of supplies as this woman was, Elisha told her to get as many vessels as she could, an act of faith, and pour out what she had, and God multiplied it.

When all the vessels were full, the oil stopped, but if she had more vessels there would have been more oil! A never-ending supply! So, when you are out of funds, give, and it will be returned to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over, and you shall have an abundance!

Then she came and told Elisha and he said, "Go and sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your son live on the rest." II Kings 4:7
