These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19

The world revolves around these abominations that God hates! Soap operas, movies, and the Internet are fueled by these sinful practices and are to be repented of if you are a Christian! To reverse that which causes a curse is walking in the Spirit and producing within your life the fruit of the Spirit.

The fruits of the Holy Spirit are qualities that reflect the character of God and are meant to guide Christian behavior. According to Galatians 5:22-23, these fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Some traditions focus on seven primary fruits, often emphasizing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness as foundational virtues that manifest in a believer’s life (Galatians 5:22-24)

The Meaning of Each Fruit:

  • Love: Unselfish concern for others, expressed through service and compassion.
  • Joy: Inner contentment and gladness rooted in a relationship with God.
  • Peace: Harmony and tranquility that arise from justice, forgiveness, and trust in God.
  • Patience: The ability to endure trials and delays with a calm and forgiving spirit.
  • Kindness: Willingness to help and show compassion to others.
  • Goodness: Moral integrity and benevolence in actions toward others.
  • Faithfulness: Loyalty and trustworthiness in one’s relationship with God and others.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:22-25
