The Angel of the Lord is Jesus. We don't fear angels; we fear the Lord Jesus. Many times, Jesus would be called the Angel of the Lord in the Old Testament, and with reverence and awe, we revere Him! He is our shield and deliverer!
The Lord Jesus is everything to the believer. He is our Shepherd, our provider, and our defender! As the word states, He encamps about those who fear Him and protects us from the powers of darkness! If God is for us, who can come against us?
Jesus is near to those with a broken heart or grieved in spirit, and He is our healer from the stripes on His back. He healed all of our diseases! Forget none of His benefits, the seven places He shed His blood gave us a complete and lasting salvation! Praise God for His mercy and grace!
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:11-18
