Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25
Anxiety belongs to the family of fear! Fear, doubt, and unbelief hang out together, bringing with them terror and death to your faith. These are the enemies of God that paralyze you in your war against them.
When young David approached Goliath, with sling in hand, the giant hurled abuse and accusations against the young warrior, spewing fear from his mouth to demoralize David with doubt and unbelief.
Undaunted by the giant's verbal abuse, he used the sword of the Spirit, God's word, to quench the fiery darts of the enemy! God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind!
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
