Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12
Sin entered the world through Adam when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that which God said you shall not eat lest you die! Because of Adam's sin, it spread down the bloodlines of all men.
Because of Adam's disobedience, we are all born in sin and must be redeemed (purchased) by the Savior's blood to be saved. Once we confess and repent, the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all unrighteousness, and we are freed from sin's bondage. The generational sin of Adam has afflicted all of mankind with a curse that has traveled down the bloodlines of humanity!
Sin begets sickness, and sickness begets death, the result of the curse. To beget means: In biblical terms, refers to the act of fathering or producing offspring. It is a concept deeply rooted in the genealogical records of the Bible, emphasizing the continuity of family lines and the fulfillment of divine promises through generations. The term is often used in the context of lineage and heritage, underscoring the importance of ancestry in biblical narratives.
Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:18,19
