Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy 1:6,7

We, as believers, should always be filled with the Holy Spirit, never allowing our vessel to be empty, which would give us over to fear, doubt, and unbelief. If you have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit, then ask God to fill you and anoint you with power.
When Jesus was baptized in water, the Holy Spirit came upon Him in the form of a dove, and God spoke to Him in an audible voice, "You are My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased!" Then He proceeded into the wilderness to be tested and tempted by the devil.
This is why we must be filled with the Holy Spirit, so that we can resist the devil and war in the Spirit against him! Jesus defeated him in the wilderness with the sword of the Spirit, the word of the living God, and so will we!
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. II Timothy 1:8,9
