Free at last! Delivered from the hard bondage of the Egyptian slave drivers, the children of Israel were set free and led by the Spirit to the land of promise, a land they would never experience because of their unbelief and rebellion!
Never in the history of the world would there ever be a journey like Israel was about to experience with mighty signs and wonders and supernatural provision for over three million people and their livestock! These stories are for us who are on a journey with Jesus and depending how we submit to His leading it can be a sweet trip or a forty-year tragedy!
As Moses led Israel out of Egypt, the Egyptians had a change of heart and Pharaoh led his army after them all the way to the Red Sea and it looked like their journey would come to an abrupt end! That is until God told Moses to take his rod and split the sea so that they could cross over on dry land.
"But lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." Exodus 14:16
