Sitting in my office one morning praying with a brother in the Lord I sensed the presence of the Lord and then Jesus spoke to me, not in an audible voice but in my spirit. He said to me take Me to Aurora, Texas to the old cemetery you used to go to when you cut school. I said OK and we left the office and drove to the cemetery.
When we arrived, the wind was blowing and the sign on the old gates was blowing back and forth with the scripture, "I am the resurrection and the life," and we drove down to an old brush arbor where the Lord spoke to me about Lazarus. He told me I was like Lazarus when He called him out of the grave wrapped in grave clothes that represented the worries and cares of this life and then He said to me, "Choose this day whom you will serve, life or death!" I said, "Life."
When I got back to the office there was a constable there to serve papers to me for all my debts from my drug addiction. Thousands of dollars of unpaid debt which forced me into bankruptcy. Jesus had led me to die in the cemetery to be resurrected into a follower and disciple of Christ!
"He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life." John 12:25
