But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. I Corinthians 15:57,58

The apostle is exhorting the body of Christ at Corinth, and for us who are followers of Jesus to be about the ministry at hand! Everyone who is born again is called and anointed to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ!

The human body has many organs that are essential for survival, but to live, each organ has a crucial function to perform. The body of Christ also has many organs that provide certain ministry functions that allow us to preach the gospel and make disciples. We are all called to the ministry, not to sit but to go wherever the Holy Spirit sends us.

As the word says, "We are to be always abounding in the work of the Lord!" The world is lost and dying, sick, and many are demon possessed, creating havoc and chaos throughout the land. This is our work: to heal the sick, cast out demons, and make disciples in the name, power, blood, and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. II Timothy 4:2-5
