I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things you wish. Galatians 5:16,17

We can blame the devil for a lot of things, but we must admit that our flesh is responsible for most of our downfalls that lead to sin! To walk in the flesh is to allow it to control our lives and leads us down a path we do not want to go.
The apostle Paul said, "Who shall deliver me from this body of death?" He was speaking of what the Romans would do by chaining a corpse to a perfectly healthy person and the bacteria and disease from the dead body would eventually kill the healthy person! So it is when we walk in the flesh, the sin we commit slowly destroys our life!
Galatians 5:19-21 describes the deeds, or should I say the fruit of the flesh which are evident in those who walk according to their flesh! Paul then says that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25
