Everyone has guardian angels, watchers, assigned to keep us and protect us on our earthly journey! They are ministering spirits sent in many forms to warn, to guard and to test our hearts.
Years ago, when I was praying about opening our first residential facility on a farm in Springtown, Texas I picked up a man who was lying in the weeds next to the highway. He was dirty, sunburned and shabbily dressed and looked like he had been out in the streets a long time. As we began to head to the farm on a thirty-minute journey I questioned him why he was living on the streets and at the same time began to think about how I could help him.
When we turned off the main road, I purposed in my heart to do everything I could to help get this man off the streets and help him change his life. All of a sudden, he said, "Take me back to the highway!" I asked him why and he said he was afraid, so I turned around and let him off at the main road and pointed to a men's mission a block or so down the highway and told him they would help him.
I raced home grabbed an armload of clothes and went back down to the mission to give them to the big man. As I entered the mission I asked where the big guy was, and they said they had not seen anyone. I quickly went up and down the highway looking for him when it entered my mind, this was an angelic visitation come to test my heart!
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some have unwittingly entertained angels. Hebrews 13:2
