The question always arises whether healing is truly God's will or not. The answer to this question is a resounding YES! True, for some things that we pray for we need God's will, but for those things written in His word they are God's will, such as healing and deliverance.
As we see in Jesus's statement, "I am willing," to the leper, this obviously is God's will to heal leprosy! When praying for people to be healed there are some things to consider such as sin in their lives, do they believe God heals, do they believe God wants to heal them? This is where we ask for God's will to proceed to pray for someone's healing or not.
In this instance, the leper asked Jesus if He was willing, and Jesus said He was and so the man was healed. When one is dealing with deliverance or spiritual warfare, they need to ask God whether they are to engage or not because some battles are best left alone!
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save (deliver) the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:14,15
