Again, we see the Old Testament blessings that are ours today and as Hebrews says we have a better covenant and greater blessings in the New Testament! In Deuteronomy 28 we see the blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience!
Obedience is still required for us to serve the Lord today without which we would be rebellious sinners! "To obey," the Lord said, is better than sacrifice. God's word to us must be believed and obeyed for us to receive the blessings! Do you require your children to obey? I would say, yes you do and that is also a requirement in the New Testament for children to obey their parents in the Lord.
So, taste and see that the Lord is good and receive all that He has for you, obey Him and turn away from rebellion and be blessed! God's love for us is so much more than we can fathom or even imagine so believe and receive!
"And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 28:2
