Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah Psalm 46:10-11

It takes a quiet time alone with God to know Him in an intimate relationship. Not just Sundays or holidays, but every day we need to spend alone with Him, meditating on His word. The human body needs food, and the spirit also needs the bread of life.
The apostle Paul said, "That I may know Him." This statement was the most important thing in his life; everything else was rubbish, so that he could gain Christ. This is the narrow way Jesus spoke of, the way of life is narrow, and the road to Hell is wide! Eternal life is given to us as a great treasure to be kept in our hearts until the time of our departure.
As believers, we must forget the past and reach out toward things that are ahead. Those who walk in the past never get free, always dealing with past events and sins that weigh them down with guilt, shame, and regret!
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
