Simon Peter said to the other disciples, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. John 21:3

Imagine their situation, their Master was crucified and raised from the dead and left them confused and heartbroken, so they decided to go fishing. They fished all night and caught nothing, and in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore and said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."

Jesus said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. John said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" So, Peter dove in and swam to shore while the others came to shore dragging their net. Jesus had a fire going with bread and fish and they had breakfast with Him although they didn't ask who He was, knowing He was the Lord.

So, are you fishing on the right side of the boat? The moral of this story is to be led by the Lord, and you will be blessed, but do it on your own and your net, for whatever you are fishing for, will be empty!

Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred fifty-three, and although there were so many, the net was not broken. John 21:11
