All have been tempted, some have fallen, and many more held captive by the seductivewoman of the night, the spirit of lust! I asked my friend David who is blind if lust still tempted him since he lost his sight, he said, "Yes!" Even blindness cannot stop this demon come to poison our hearts with lust!
Many a man and woman of God have succumbed to her and fallen victim to her passion that she injects into the unsuspecting. The mighty warrior and King, David gave in to the seduction of his beautiful neighbor bathing outside his home and fell for her committing adultery and even murder to hide his sin. Lust is not always sexual as Eve learned in the garden; it comes in many forms!
The rich boy who came to Jesus asking about eternal life rejected it because his money had his heart! There are so many things today displayed in the media just a click away to draw us into its arms and hold us in captivity. Remember possession is 9/10ths of the law, in other words what has your heart possesses you!
With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him. Immediately he went after her as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, till an arrow (demon) struck his liver, (sickness) as a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would cost him his life. Proverbs 7:21-23
