And Jesus cried out with a loud voice and yielded up His Spirit. Then behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the city and appeared to many. Matthew 27:50-53

The most powerful explosion of Divine power ever in all of history was the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ! The veil of separation was torn in two signifying the end of the old priesthood and the beginning of the new priesthood of believers!

We do not hear much about people being resurrected and walking into the city, but the awesome power of God penetrated the graves of many believers, and it validated the resurrection power of the Most High! All of mankind was delivered from their sins and forgiven of all their many trespasses of those who would believe!

The King of all kings had given His life to all who would believe and follow Him into eternity by repentance and deliverance from everlasting death to everlasting life in Christ! The greatest miracle of Jesus and the greatest act of forgiveness in all of human history!

He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead and indeed He is going before you into Galilee, there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you. Matthew 28:6,7
