For every believer and follower of the Lord Jesus, we have been given the task of overcoming the world, the flesh, and the devil. Upon our conversion, our eyes and ears are opened to a new world, a spiritual land where we are to conquer that which has followed us from our old life.
First of all, we are to die to the lusts and pleasures of the world that will continue and tryto seduce us from our walk with the Lord. Then we are to conquer the lust of the flesh and the temptation to allow it to continue to rule our life and finally, our never-ending battle with the powers of darkness always looking for an open door!
We will be in the battle until we stand before the King of Glory and hear those wonderful words, "Well done good and faithful servant enter into the joy of the Lord!" So, never give up, if you fall, get up, if you fail, repent, if you conquer, rejoice!
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
