Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble. Proverbs 4:14-19

At a very tender age of 16, the darkness seduced me to walk in the path of the wicked. It seemed harmless, but as I grew, it introduced me to drugs and other things until at 33, I was a hopeless drug addict and alcoholic.

Jesus said that the gate to eternal life is narrow, but the way of darkness is broad! There are many good people, upstanding, hardworking, but still, they walk in darkness because they don't know the Lord. The devil is a hunter, fisherman, and trapper, always seeking the naive and the innocent who don't have eyes to see! Until one is born again, he will walk in the darkness, but when he turns to Jesus, the lights come on, and he will walk in the Spirit.

Do you know the Lord? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Many have prayed a prayer, joined a church got baptized, but still, they walk in darkness! It is only when one repents and surrenders their life to Jesus that they are born from above! He is the only way!

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:23-27
