Samson broke another vow when he demanded his parents to get a Philistine woman for his bride. Like believers today we are not to marry unbelievers because they will draw us away from God to meet their wants and needs! Ask Solomon about his 1000 wives and children, a man who was supposed to be wise!
On his way to meet his future bride a lion charged him, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he tore the lion apart. On Samson's return to get his bride he stopped to see the carcass of the lion he had killed and there was a swarm of bees in it and honey which he took to his parents and without their knowledge he defiled them by touching a corpse!
Even though God was using Samson to defeat Israel's enemies there is a point of no return for one who commits willful sin, and the consequences can lead to a sin unto death. Samson was a "Strongman with a Stronghold" that would lead him into captivity and subsequently his untimely death! The apostle Paul told the Corinthian church that he would turn a man who was committing immorality in the church over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, "A sin unto death!"
"Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord Jesus. I Corinthians 5:5
