The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies yourfootstool." The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Psalm 110:1,2
The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies yourfootstool." The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Psalm 110:1,2
In other words when Jesus' feet were pierced the enemy of all mankind, the devil, and Satan was put under not only His feet, but ours! Satan is now a footstool for all believers and under the authority of the body of Christ!
We have been given all authority to trample upon our enemies as well as armor and our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Jesus has called us to go into all the world with the gospel of good news that He shed His blood for, to set mankind free and for us to do what He did by laying hands on the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead and preaching the word of God!
As Jesus was crucified for us, He destroyed the old priesthood with its regulations and laws and made a way for us to go directly into the presence of God. Jesus was the Mediator of a new covenant written in His own blood and set mankind free from the bondage of sin and death!
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19
IT IS FINISHED
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His Spirit. John 19:30
Because of the Sabath no one could remain on the cross and so their legs were to be broken and they would be taken down. When they came to Jesus, He had already died having yielded up His Spirit and so they pierced His heart and blood, and water came out!
Jesus' heart was broken so our hearts could be restored to love our God and our neighbors and even our enemies. His death and subsequent resurrection would drastically change the world and sanctify a people for His own possession who would in turn become a royal priesthood of Saints who would minister in His name!
The greatest event the world has ever seen when God sent His Son to die and shed His blood seven times to free the world of its sin, sickness and death and transform men and women into born again new creations in Christ!
And you being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven all trespasses, having wiped out the certificate of debt and requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:13-15
HE HAS RISEN!
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb and the stone was rolled away and an angel said to them, "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:6
The greatest miracle the world has ever seen, the resurrection of the Son of God, tortured, crucified, buried and then gloriously raised from the dead! On this day mankind was given the greatest gift ever given, the gift of eternal life in Christ to all who would believe in Him!
As Mary looked into the tomb she saw two angels, one at the head and one at the feet where Jesus had been laid. A revelation of the "Ark of the Covenant" and the absence of the presence of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, soon to ascend into Heaven. Then Jesus appeared to Mary and told her to tell His disciples that He had risen!
Do you believe in Jesus and the miraculous resurrection of the Son of God, or is He just another Easter myth? Do you know Him as Your Savior and Lord, and more importantly, does He know you? If you are not sure give your heart to Him and believe, confess your sins and repent and He will save your soul from eternal damnation! May God have mercy on us all!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should nor perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18
