Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left, remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:26,27
To ponder is to think carefully and deeply about something or weighing something carefully in the mind. To ponder a situation for young people is rare and, in my case, non-existent!
The beginning of my downward spiral began when I quit football in high school wanting to go to the lake and have fun. Instead of taking the right path I took the left that leads to destruction and continued on it until Jesus found me and saved me. Because I quit football my teachers were all coaches and gave me an "F" and I flunked out of school. I got married at 16, another detour to stupidity and went to work for my father.
My dad died when I was 24 and I inherited a multi-million-dollar company but eventually sold out to my brother and continued on the broad road to destruction. I ended up cutting scrap metal next to our family business with a drug addiction about to lose everything when God sent a man to my home and led me to Jesus!
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction; and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13,14
