And the Lord said to Moses, "When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go." Exodus 4:21
And the Lord said to Moses, "When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go." Exodus 4:21
From Prince to pauper, to shepherd to miracle worker, Moses had gone through some amazing transformations that brought him to a deadly confrontation with Pharaoh, ruler of all Egypt!
The trials Moses suffered and endured prepared him for leadership for one of the most grueling missions ever in the history of the world! Now he was ready to begin the signs and wonders that would lead to the deliverance of God's people. Turning the waters of Egypt into blood would begin a chain reaction that would torment the Egyptians and loosen Pharaoh's grip on the children of Israel.
What amounted to be a rotting stench throughout Egypt brought frogs, gnats, flies and pestilence and then boils breaking out on everyone including Pharaoh and his family. Throughout the plagues Moses would confront Pharaoh to let God's people go but his heart was still hard. Then a hailstorm of fire and ice beat down their crops and then locusts ate up the rest and darkness covered the land, leaving one more devastating plague.
"Then you shall say to Pharoah, 'Thus says the Lord: Israel is my firstborn son. "So I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, indeed I will kill your son, your firstborn. " ' " Exodus 4:22,23
