Now the Lord said to Abram, "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land I will show you; I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing, I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3
Several years ago, we were ministering to drug addicts and had a church on two acres with a 3500 sq. ft. home and a large metal building and everything was blessed but then things began to change, and God spoke!
Like Abraham God said, "Get out of your country to a land that He would show us." The land was South Texas where Mary Ann is from so, we moved into a 500 sq. ft. apartment where God had me write about my journey with Him in ministry. There are seasons of ministry and life with God as well as with our age and with them come changes just as the leaves begin to change, so we change. Abram had his name changed to Abraham!
When our time was finished in South Texas, we moved back to Ft. Worth and moved another seven times. I can't say I have always obeyed God but the older I get the more I want Him to lead me. Abraham obeyed God and believed, and God blessed not only him but all the families of the earth including us!
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. Genesis 12:7
