Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? II Corinthians 6:14,15

Bad company corrupts good morals, as the old saying goes,. I know this because early on in high school, I quit football and joined a group called the Minority. These were the mockers who sat in the back row and made fun of anything good!
It wasn't like I joined Hell's Angels; it was just a group of kids too cool to be normal, but it cost me dearly in the future. The problem being: all my teachers were coaches, and they all flunked me, so I didn't graduate. It's funny how one little mistake can change the direction of your entire life. I got married at 16, started using speed, which progressed to weed, opium, acid, opiates, and finally cocaine, which led me to end up at 33 broke, busted, and disgusted. My life was a dumpster fire!
Many have been led down the narrow road to Heaven only to take a detour to Hell! Believers marrying unbelievers has produced multitudes of divorces and family breakups. The truth is, we as believers cannot fellowship with darkness, nor can we partake of the cup of demons!
And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
Therefore:
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
“I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”
