There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:1-2
Isaiah prophesies of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ: the Rod (authority), a Branch (of Jesse), father of David. A prophecy describing the coming Savior of the world! Spirit-filled with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, He is Lord of all!
Jesus is God in the flesh, come to deliver us from the sins of Adam and break the generational curses of the sins of our unfaithful ancestors! We are born in sin and worthy of death and Hell; Jesus was born without sin so that He could rescue us from eternal damnation!
Are you born again? Jesus said, "You must be born again to receive eternal life in Him!" Without His forgiveness and His blood shed for you, Hell awaits you with eternal punishment for all who reject His sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection!
His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears; but with righteousness He shall judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth (His word), and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, and faithfulness the belt of His waist. Isaiah 11:3-5
