For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years, and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Psalm 90:9-10
For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years, and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Psalm 90:9-10
Life is short, to say the least, it seems to speed up the closer we get to the end! My late brother used to say that the years are coming around like Sundays, and so we begin to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel!
It is important to realize where you are in the scheme of things and begin to prepare to meet the Lord and enter eternity! Millions fly through life with no thought of eternity and where they will spend it! Jesus said, "You must be born again to inherit eternal life." Many hear the gospel but reject its message to be saved and end up at the end, lost and condemned to eternal judgment.
I have witnessed too many asking them if they are saved or if they are going to Heaven. Most answer, I'm a good person, or I think so, but that is not good enough. Hell is full of good people who led good lives who felt like they deserved eternal life. Unless you have acknowledged your sins and asked the Lord to forgive you and save your soul, your departure from the planet will be shocking to say the least!
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. So, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:10-12
