Have you ever felt abandoned by the Lord, forgotten, or unable to feel His presence? I would imagine most of us at some time or another have. Fear is the culprit, not God because He is always with us and has promised He would never leave or forsake us!
When Adam and Eve sinned against God in the garden, they hid themselves because they were naked and afraid! (no pun intended) Sin had opened a door for fear to come upon them, something they had never felt before. When God called for them, they said, "We heard your voice in the garden, and we were afraid because we were naked, and we hid ourselves." God said, "Who told you that you were naked?"
Whether we have sinned or just feel alone we are not to fear and run away, we are to run toward Him and He will comfort us with His word. Fear comes against us when we are waiting on the Lord, that is when the flaming arrows of doubt and unbelief attack our minds!
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
