Hear my cry, O God, attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1-2

Has your heart ever been overwhelmed? The definition of overwhelmed is: "To bury or drown under a huge mass." Sounds like someone buried alive! That makes the definition even more critical and can severely impair our spiritual condition.

Only our heavenly Father can remove this heavy weight and relieve our burden. Psalm 91:1 tells us to abide, live, or dwell under the shadow of the Almighty, where there is protection from that which has overwhelmed us! Like a mother hen that gives protection to her chicks under her wings, God also shelters His children from the storms of life!

As believers, we are promised a shelter and protection from the powers of darkness. A strong tower is our God, and He will sustain us through any trial or tribulation that befalls us. Put your life into His capable hands and walk in peace!

For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Psalm 61:3-4
