My continuum of bad choices and wrong turns on the broad road brought me to another crossroad, sex, drugs and rock and roll, my mantra for life or should I say, death! After my sell out of the family business I went into business for myself and met some new friends who introduced me to new pleasures that led me to a $2000.00 a week cocaine addiction which eventually brought me down!
The "White Lady" or so they called her was in reality a demon disguised as a white powder that at first try gave a euphoric feeling and a clear minded sensation which only lasted 45 minutes and then paranoia set in, and you would have to have more! This went on for a couple of years and I thought I had it handled until the snake bit me, and I was hooked! Cocaine was very expensive even 40 years ago at $100.00 a gram and I was almost broke when a man came to my house and gave me ten ounces, about $20,000.00 worth of pure coke.
He told me to cut it and sell it getting some for myself and he would be back in a couple of weeks to collect. He then took a half gram and shot it into his arm and passed out on the floor. Great, I've got a truck load of coke and a dead drug dealer in my living room, now what? Pretty soon he regained consciousness and said, "Man that's good s_ _ t!" And I never saw him again because when he called to collect, I told him I did the whole thing! He was later killed in a car accident!
