A man's gift makes room for him. Proverbs 18:16
Years ago, after I was saved, I was inspired by David Wilkerson to go into residential ministry like Teen Challenge. One day, I toured the TC women's ministry, and God touched my heart, leading me to start a ministry.
It wasn't easy, and my first attempts were a disaster until I leased a farm, and it took an angelic visitation to confirm that I was to proceed. My first years were consumed with learning deliverance, and Teen Challenge sent some ladies to us, and they liked what we did, so they asked us to become an induction center. We ministered deliverance to new arrivals, and in two months, we would send them down to the main unit.
After a few years, an old friend who was an associate pastor with David Wilkerson at Times Square Church in New York invited me to come up, as he was interested in residential ministry and asked me to come in with him. While in NY, we helped Pastor Wilkerson start a women's center in a brand new seven-story apartment in Manhattan. It is amazing what God did in my life, meeting the one who inspired me to go into the ministry.
And brings him before great men. Proverbs 18:16
