The Cornerstone of God's church is Jesus Christ, who was laid marking the beginning of the building where God has chosen to dwell! Being a supernatural human body that represents the Lord Jesus, we comprise the spiritual house of the Most High.
From its inception, the churches of God were formed by apostles including the first church at Pentecost. Jesus being the Chief Priest and Apostle of our faith ascended into Heaven to ever make intersession for us, leaving twelve apostles as master builders. Our example of an apostolic fellowship, the church in Acts exemplifies the "Divine Design" that God envisioned for His supernatural expression of Christ's body on earth.
God's vision of a supernatural human being in the likeness of Christ empowered by Holy Spirit with all the gifts of the Spirit would be His dwelling and the replica of His Son with signs, wonders, and miracles validating the church of God's existence in the earth.
Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing hope firm to the end. Hebrews 3:6
