But none of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24

Our lives are not our own once we submit to follow Jesus, because at that point His blood has purchased our souls! As newborn believers we have been given a holy calling to share His gospel and make disciples, but sadly in the American church all we have been taught to do is show up, shut up, sit down and listen.
The result of this non-biblical scenario is a lifeless assembly of the dead, spiritual zombies who have never been trained, equipped or sent out, only told to show up Sunday after Sunday until death do us part! This is not what Jesus called every one of us to do, He said GO! into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature!
Remember the parable of the talents in which the master called his servants and to one he gave five talents, to another two and to another one? The first two went and traded their talents and increased their master's money but the third was afraid and hid his in the ground. When their master returned, he rewarded the first two but was furious with the third and took away what he had been given!
"For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. "And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 25:29,30
