Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way. Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Psalm 37:7

Patience has never been one of my virtues but as I grow older in body, mind and spirit I have learned the secret of resting in the Lord, and that is trust! The longer you know someone the more they prove to you that they can be trusted and that is the way we trust in the Lord, He is proven!

After all, in most cases trust is all we have when we have exhausted everything in our bag of self-help! In other words when all has been done, tried and failed by our human attempts to solve our dilemma if we will just stop and rest in the fact that God is our only hope, then He will come through for us.

When you are facing an OK Corral event and your brothers ask you what are you going to do Wyatt? His answer was, "I am going to get a cup of coffee!" In other words, I am going to rest in the Lord and wait patiently on Him! Well, I doubt that is what Wyatt Earp really said, but you get the picture, rest!

Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46:10,11
