Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge. Psalm 48:1-3

Mount Zion symbolizes God's presence, hope, and restoration, representing both a physical location in Jerusalem and a spiritual ideal for believers. The city of David and of God, a refuge for all! We are God's city, His dwelling, and our future rests in His hands!

Mount Zion is not just an important historical and spiritual landmark for Israel. From the time the ark of the covenant was moved into the City of David, and later to the temple that Solomon built, Zion became a hub of worship that represented the presence of God.

This precious gift of His presence is not limited to those of Jewish descent. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we are grafted into the inheritance of Zion as our place of refuge, protection, and communion with God.

“But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel” Hebrews 12:22-24
