The very first New Testament church at Pentecost was the model for all churches to be filled with Holy Spirit power and anointing doing the greater works that Jesus promised! It was never meant to be a place to go, but a Person to be as the expression of Christ in the earth!
This body of believers turned Jerusalem upside-down speaking in tongues and seeing a harvest of 3000 they laid down their lives and took the new converts in providing food and shelter to those who were saved and for their families! This is God's plan for His church to walk as Jesus walked doing good, healing the sick, casting out demons and performing signs and wonders in His name!
The churches today are just hollow remnants of yesteryear, boring and filled with people who attend because of guilt, or they think it's the right thing to do! Listening to a talking head or Super Star preacher they are never trained, equipped or sent, they just sit, listen and write a check while they fall asleep in the pew!
Then fear came upon every soul, and many signs and wonders were done by the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. Acts 2:43-45
