Jesus was about to take upon Himself the sins of the world in the Garden of Gethsemane, where in great agony His sweat became like great drops of blood and an angel appeared to Him, strengthening Him.
Sin first appeared in a garden and began with a tree and Jesus ended it in a garden and did away with it on a tree. No one can imagine the suffering that Jesus experienced in the garden and then, being beaten, mocked and given a death sentence, accused of being king of the Jews.
That night Jesus would begin a journey that would lead Him to the grave where a supernatural resurrection would take place, giving all of mankind the hope of salvation and freedom from sin and eternal death.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, everyone, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
