The word salvation in the New Testament Greek is the noun "soteria" that denotes: deliverance, preservation, salvation, the spiritual and eternal deliverance granted by God to those who accept His conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The verb "sozo" means to save and is used of material and temporal deliverance from danger, suffering and sickness. Salvation and deliverance are synonymous, to try and separate them is impossible. When one is born again he begins the process of sanctification, or in other words being set apart and delivered from evil, transforming him into the image of Christ!
Every born again new creation in Christ must be delivered from evil and be sanctified in Him and purified of all uncleanness and sins, whether committed, or received through the generational curse inherited from his forefathers.
Therefore, just as through one man, (Adam) sin entered the world, and death through sin, thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12
