Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:17,18

The Third Step is obedience to His word and the "Prayer of Appropriation," receiving that which you have been given. Elijah was a powerful man of God who defeated the enemies of God, called down fire from Heaven, healed the sick and raised the dead, but he was just a man like you and me.
Jesus promised that we would do greater works than He did while He was on the earth and Elijah, a type of Christ did great works because he took God at His word and believed. It is important for the believer to be baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to be able to walk in Elijah's powerful God given anointing.
If you are washed in the blood of Christ, baptized in His Spirit and led to pray the "Prayer of Appropriation" you can receive all that God has for you because you are an heir of Christ and a possessor of all the blessings and promises of God! So, with that said, stretch out your faith and trust God for the greater works of Christ!
Now Elijah took his mantle, (a type of anointing) rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." II Kings 2:8,9
