Jehovah Tsidkenu, "The Lord Who is our Righteousness." We as the people of God have no righteousness of our own because it is He who gives it. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God as the book of Romans states, so our righteousness comes from being born again by receiving the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the book of Zechariah 3:1-7 it illustrates our need to be clothed in God's righteousness as Joshua the high priest was. Satan had come to oppose and accuse him as Joshua was clothed in filthy garments representing our inadequacy to be righteous on our own. God rebuked the devil and then said, "Take away the filthy garments from him."
Through the washing of the blood of Jesus, our filthy garments of iniquity are removed and we are clothed in God's rich robes of His righteousness! We have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus our Lord!
"See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes." Zechariah 3:4
