A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; it shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there. Isaiah 35:8-9
We are the redeemed of the Lord, those of us who have been born again and set free from our sins and washed in His blood. Following Jesus is a walk, not a run or a race to see who is superior; it is a narrow road that we follow, and few walk this road.
I learned early on about the walk with Christ and how narrow it really is. Shortly after my salvation experience, I was taken by the Lord to a graveyard where He asked me whom I would serve, and I said to Him, "You, Lord!" From that time, my life was different, filled with purpose and revelation of what He had for me.
Does this sound like the road you are on, or are you traveling on the super-highway to Hell? Jesus said that this road was broad and many made the mistake of taking it! If this word has touched your heart and made you realize the road you are on is the wrong one, then do this: repent and follow Jesus on His narrow road that leads to life eternal!
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10
