"Woe to the rebellious children," says the Lord, "Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who walk to go down to Egypt, and have not asked My advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Isaiah 30:1-2
Rebellion is the sin of witchcraft, the opposite of submission to God. Believers are to walk in the Spirit, led by Him in all things. Egypt is a type and shadow of the world, and God is speaking to those who put their trust in its system and provision.
Pharaoh is a type of Satan, so don't put your trust and devotion in his hands because he is a deceiver and a liar. There are many today who put their trust in the world system, even believers, but its end is always to their harm.
You can't serve God and the world, and you can't make Satan your provider, who will promise you the world while planning your destruction! Just ask Miss Eve what it cost her when she ate the fruit God told her not to eat!
Therefore, the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and trust in the shadow of Egypt shall be your humiliation. Isaiah 30:3
